Does the software change with each plan?
No. The Motorcentral software is identical with each of our plans (with the exception of Motorcentral Express). However your plan type will determine the number of vehicles you may hold in stock and also the number of dealerships you may manage.
What are the limitations of the Solo plan?
The Solo plan only allows 35 vehicles to be held in stock (ie unsold) by the software. Also, you may only operate at one yard location.
What are the limitations of the Standard plan?
The only limitation is that you must operate only one yard location.
Can I go on the Multi plan if I only have one yard?
Yes, you you have the choice of operating on any plan if you operate only one yard. However, dealerships with more than one yard are required to go on the Multi plan.
Do I have to install Motorcentral on every computer at my yard?
No. You are only required to install Motorcentral on at least one computer to operate the system.
Can I upgrade / downgrade my plan at any time?
Yes, you may upgrade your plan at any time. Please contact our sales team to arrange an upgrade. You may also downgrade your plan at any time as long as you meet the requirements of the downgraded plan.
Will I ever be charged to update my software version?
No. You will never be charged any additional fees to update the core Motorcentral software.
Software Updates are FREE for the lifetime of your license.
How does your pricing compare with other solutions?
Alternative solutions tend to charge a larger licensing amount upfront per computer and then additional recurring fees for continued updates. Also when a major update is released you may be asked to invest another large upfront cost per computer upgrade.
Motorcentral charges a minimal installation fee per dealership (regardless of the number of computers you have) and then a small monthly licensing fee per dealership.
Can I operate one of my computers from home or another location?
Yes. As long as the computer has a licensed version of Motorcentral installed on it, you may operate it from anywhere. Please contact our support team to discuss connecting to your Motorcentral database from another location.
How does support work?
With all our plans, we offer a 24-hour comprehensive online support website and also accept support questions via email, all FREE of charge.
For more personalised and instant responses via phone, you may purchase one hour monthly support packs at a cost of $35 +gst per pack.
What counts as a 'vehicle in stock'?
The software system counts any vehicle as in stock if it is unsold in the system. This includes vehicles at suppliers, on behalf of (on consignment) vehicles, traded vehicles & vehicles still arriving.
